Ingredients

Preparation

Marinate Shrimp:
  1. Place the shrimp in a bowl, add Cajun Creole seasoning, toss to coat, and set aside.
Sear Shrimp:
  1. Heat a medium-sized non-stick skillet over medium heat until hot. Add oil and garlic to the skillet; cook until golden (about 1 minute).
  2. Add oregano and cook for a few seconds.
  3. Immediately add the shrimp, cook for 30 seconds, flip, and cook for another 30 seconds. Remove the shrimp and transfer them to a plate.
Make Sauce:
  1. In the same skillet, add beer, hot sauce, Worcestershire, and lemon juice, and stir well.
  2. Cook, stirring until the mixture thickens slightly, about 5 minutes.
  3. Remove the skillet from the heat and whisk in cold butter, a few pieces at a time. The sauce will thicken further.
Finish Cooking Shrimp and Serve:
  1. Return the shrimp to the skillet and toss to coat. Return the skillet to medium heat and cook until the shrimp are cooked through (about 2 minutes), flipping once halfway through.
  2. Split the shrimp onto two plates and pour the sauce over both.
  3. Serve with crusty French bread to soak up the delicious, tangy sauce.
